Nestled in the foothills of the snow capped Southern Alps, surrounded by native trees and wildlife, thousands of deer roam on the Valley of the Haupiri River. The name ‘Haupiri’ is native and means ‘The meeting place of the winds’. Here Pure Vitality provides a world leading range of pure and natural products based on the unique healing properties of Deer Antler Velvet.
The Story of Pure Vitality
In 1982 two brothers, Mark and Pilgrim, raised a pet fawn and became fascinated with this somewhat quiet but exceptionally spirited animal. This was to be the beginnings of the Gloriavale Deer Park which today is home to more than 2,000 deer.
Over the last 25 years the Gloriavale Deer Park has been dedicated to breeding fine animals that will produce superior quality deer velvet. Great care is given to our deer and animal welfare is paramount on our farm. We actively breed with the industries best, and emphasis has been on superior velvet and antler conformation. We are dedicated to breeding fine animals that will produce superior quality deer velvet.
Product of Science and Nature
In 2001 we began research to develop our own health products based on the unique healing properties of deer velvet, until finally in 2005, after much research and experimentation, we began to actively market our own top quality extract under the brand name Pure VitalityTM. Based on the resounding success of Pure VitalityTM we studied our customers’ needs and researched other winning ingredients that also bring top-line results. Some of these were ingredients already found in deer velvet in small quantities. Armed with new knowledge, we developed a world class range of industry leading products based on deer velvet but with a specific focus on particular health needs.

Our deer are bred and raised in one of the purest, most pristine and unspoiled habitats in the world. Their feed and water are not tainted with toxic chemicals or preservatives. Pure Vitality Deer Velvet can be traced right back to each of the individual animals on the individual farm.
The Deer Velvet is harvested and processed under strict guidelines enforced by the New Zealand Food Standards Authority.
